Who is Harry van Yogya?
His complete name is Blasius Haryadi. He is a becak/pedi cab driver. He speaks English and even Dutch quite well.
“I started driving the Pedi cab in 1990 when I was still a math student. I became a Pedi cab driver because I had some money problems. So I tried to think about how I can earn money without disrupting my school activities. The only solution I came up with was to become a Pedi cab driver. So in the day I would go to my classes but then at night I would drive the pedicab.”

Harry is active on social network sites. He has made two groups on Facebook called Becak Jogja and Bellongg Independent Tour. He has a twitter account @harryvanyogya with an amazing 4300 followers. You can order his services by texting, emailing, through twitter of even facebook. He is not only popular in the social media, he has also published his own book “the becak way”.
So the next time you find yourself in Jogja, why not try and tweet him…you may just end up with lots of stories about Jogja…from a not so ordinary Pedi cab driver..
